|For the past 36 years, members of the senior class have left their legacy at Middlebury by making a gift to the College. Through the Senior Class Gift, seniors have the opportunity to honor their time at Middlebury and continue the important philanthropic tradition that will benefit those who follow.
This year’s senior class gift is the 2018 and 2018.5 Scholarship Fund, providing financial aid for current and future Middlebury students. Today, more than 1,000 students—44 percent of the total student body—rely on financial aid to attend Middlebury. In the Classes of 2018 and 2019, the percentage is higher: 48 percent of each class is receiving need-based scholarship support.
Supporting students brings different voices to our classrooms, residence halls, playing fields, and dining halls. This makes Middlebury a place for diverse perspectives and deeper discussions, and it supports the education of talented young people with the ability and motivation to make a positive difference wherever they go.
Only 21 percent of the undergraduate financial-aid budget is covered by endowed funds, creating both a need for support and an opportunity for donors to have a powerful effect. Please join our class in supporting our Senior Class Gift and help us ensure that the most qualified and committed students from all backgrounds can attend Middlebury, regardless of their financial resources.
All student gifts of $20.18 or more will receive our class pint glass. Seniors who make a gift of $5 or more will receive an invitation to our Donor Dinner in the spring. A student gift of $100 or more qualifies you for Middlebury’s 1800 Society.
Thank you for your support!
