The Middlebury Moth-UP is a live storytelling event held every other Thursday in The Gamut Room student café on campus. Based on The Moth, a non-profit organization founded in 1997, The Middlebury Moth-UP brings together students, staff, and townspeople to tell stories on a theme. There are only two rules: 1. All stories must be true 2. No notes. We were inspired by The Moth Podcast, which we listen to obsessively. In the long term we hope to continue to organize biweekly storytelling events that bring together students, staff, and people from town. We have been borrowing a digital recorder and are seeking funding to purchase one for the project.
