A network of microphilanthropy that supports Middlebury students.

Middcakes is a non-profit small bakery started by three sophomores. We specialize in baking premium cupcakes with unique frostings, designs, and flavors. It is our goal to generate proceeds and revenue through event orders as well as bake sales. We are passionate about baking and would love the opportunity to start a business in which we can bake and give back to the community.

Our objective is to bake cupcakes, and as a non-profit, donate our proceeds to the Addison County Parent-Child Center. Our goal is to grow our business and give back to the community. MiddSTART funding will provide us with the opportunity to purchase ingredients as well as other materials we need to begin baking cupcakes and satisfying consumer demand.

The inspiration for our project comes from our love and passion for baking. We have been baking cupcakes for many years, and as Middlebury students, understand the importance of charity and giving back to the community. We believe that through baking we can set up a fun and exciting medium in which we can raise money and give back for a good cause.

Expenses of ingredients and baking materials are calculated to be $1,000.

We have currently created a Facebook page and are already working on creating a website.
